Hello, beautiful humans. And welcome back to the Fat Fuelled Female podcast. Happy New Year we are in January 2022. So what does that mean?
1:03
It means my signature coaching program. The fat fuel female method, also known as the triple F method is opening for enrollment at the end of January. And I thought it would be a good idea to come on here and give a description of what the program is about why I created it and what it means to be a Fat Fueled Female.
1:24
So first off, why I create this program is because so many women get stuck on this dieting rollercoaster, trying to get results stuck on the hamster wheel of dieting. In a really unhealthy and unsustainable way. We are fed like a false bill of goods, we are fed a bunch of BS that in order to lose weight, we have to cut calories, strip the body of food and nourishment.
1:51
And it's all about restriction and deprivation and willpower. And I don't think I have to tell you that that sounds like a pretty crappy way and ineffective strategy to improve your health and lose weight for the long term.
2:07
We as a society are great at losing weight, just not so good at keeping it off. I think the statistics are something like 90% of people who lose the weight, gain it back plus more after 18 months.
2:27
So I feel like a lot of the reasons why this happens is because people don't truly understand how the human body works. They're not educated on it. And why would you be really unless you studied it and went to school. So we are fed all these gimmicky things to do to lose weight.
2:50
And people think that they're doing what they're doing is the right thing to get them the results they desire, when in actuality it's causing so much more stress on your body, on your mind, dysregulation of your hormones, your metabolism, and it's you know, it's not going to serve you in the long run, right?
3:13
So when you are constantly dieting for many women, it becomes a part of your identity. And it takes up so much precious time and energy and a lot of frustration if you're putting in the work and not getting the results you want or expected.
3:33
So I don't know if you know my story, but I was a chronic diet or for over 10 years 10 plus years. And it wasn't until I found keto in 2016 that I was finally able to stop dieting and create a lifestyle where A). food wasn't constantly on my mind B). I stopped obsessing about calories. C). I was able to stabilize my weight and D). for the first time in my life. I had a really good relationship with my body, my mindset and with food but it did take time.
4:07
Okay, didn't happen right off the go. You know, like full disclosure, when I began keto I did it all wrong. I went into it with the dieters mindset. So you know, full disclosure, it took me six months to work out all the kinks and figure out my unique version and realistic version of keto, that worked for me.
4:29
And that's how I discovered so many women struggle with similar problems that I faced, you know, if this sounds like you starting and stopping a diet, you know, Monday rolls around, I gotta get back to my diet quote, unquote, you know, patterns of emotional eating and binge eating, and you're frustrated with food and calories controlling way too much of your life.
4:52
And, you know, it's not your fault. It's just how society you know, you see things on TV like the biggest loser like I I grew up watching that show, there's like, personal trainers like telling you to eat 1200 calories a day, and telling you to work out three hours a day, right like that gets programmed into your subconscious. And you think that's what you need to do to get the results you want.
5:19
So, the Fat Fueled Female method has three phases, three pillars and three principles. So I want to go over these with you. So you have a clearer understanding of why I created this program, how I work as clients and how this can help you and how I can serve you.
5:35
So the three phases are what I refer to as the three phases of weight loss. Now, when most women or men, they want to lose weight, the first thing they do for most people is they cut their calories.
5:50
You know, as I just gave the example of the Biggest Loser, we're programmed to believe that we just have to continue cutting food and calories. And you know, if the scale is a movie, maybe toss in an extra workout, cut some more food.
6:02
And essentially, your metabolism adapts to running off such a low amount of food. And it's not sustainable for you to operate at that level. And it's not a sustainable way to keep the weight off. And it's not a long term health strategy, and it's not going to give you vibrant health.
6:24
Okay, so primarily focusing on cutting calories, you can lose the weight. But as I mentioned, the real problem is keeping it off. So the three phases of weight loss and the fat fuel female method are phase one is foundation.
6:43
Phase two is fasting, and phase three is fuel up. So the metabolism goes through different phases and cycles, so it doesn't stay the same. So I like to give this example think about driving like a nice vehicle or even just like a whatever car, and you're always driving that car at like 30 kilometers per hour due to due to do you're always revving like not revving the engine, you're always driving at like a really low pace, you know, your car, your engine to be healthy, you need to get on the highway, you need to rip it at 90 or 80 or whatever.
7:19
And then you need to drive in the city at like 50 or 60, that's going to be good for your engine that's going to be good for your car. So it's the same kind of thing with your metabolism, you don't want it to be operating at this really low level, because then it becomes efficient at running on that really low level, right.
7:39
So the metabolism is, as I said, goes through different phases and cycles. So the first phase is creating that strong foundation, making sure you're amping up, that engine amping up your metabolic Fire, looking at food quality, looking at nutrient density.
8:00
And then in this phase, we go into ketosis, creating metabolic flexibility, you know, getting your metabolism not just to run off carbs, right how most people in society, their primary fuel source is carbs, right, so switching this out and getting your body conditioned and trained to run off of ketones.
8:29
And then when you have a great foundation, and the metabolism is in a healthy place, we incorporate a fasting protocol. Now that is going to be completely specific to where you feel good at, you know, some women do intermittent fasting, it's 16 hours of fasting, eight hours of feeding.
8:49
Some women do 14 hours. Some women do alternate day fasting where they eat whatever timeframe on one day and then the next day, they eat in eight hours or 10 hours. Some women don't fast and they just do a 24 hour fast once a week, like there's no right or wrong way to do this. It's all trial and error.
9:07
And I give you all the tools and resources to figure out, you will figure out on your own with the support and education for me what works for you. And you won't know until you try right.
9:21
And then after the fasting phase, we go in to fuel up. So what that means is we feed your body more food.
9:34
And that can be really beneficial when it comes to working out. When it comes to your mindset when it comes to just thriving in life. Essentially, you want to have a healthy metabolism where you can eat 2000, 3000, 4000 calories depending on your size and your goals or whatever and still maintain the body you want.
9:55
So as I mentioned, you know, most diets they just kind of stay in one phase, they just kind of stay in that calorie deficit, and they don't rev up that metabolic fire and that engine.
10:07
So now I want to discuss the three pillars of the triple F method, what encompass the whole program.
10:15
So awareness is one pillar. So understanding how to hack your biology with whole food, high fat, nutrient rich nutrition, food is medicine and medicine is food.
10:28
Learning how to boost your brain function, you know, running off of ketones, aka fat, as opposed to just carbs, looking at understanding the blood sugar story and how managing your blood sugar is really pivotal at reducing inflammation.
10:45
Understanding, you know, this is a big thing, how your metabolism functions, right? And how we can amp up Metabolic Fire and create that metabolic flexibility.
10:56
You know, I go over hormones, right hormones are chemical messengers that play a massive role in your the weight loss in your energy in your sleep in your digestion in everything.
11:09
And then one of the other topics that I find is really important is understanding your gut health, like your gut is where 70% of your immune system is, it's where neurotransmitters are produced, right?
11:21
So it's a full, really like 360 degree aspect of every facet of health. And my goal with clients is for you to become your own health advocate, you to have the resources, knowledge and tools, so that you can navigate through your journey and be confident AF with all your choices.
11:45
So this is the last program you ever have to invest in, because you have all the tools you'll ever need. And it's a rinse and repeat system you can do when you go through and understand the three phases of weight loss.
12:00
So the second pillar is ownership. It's a nine week blueprint, where you gradually transition into your high fat lifestyle that feels you know, you want it to feel like natural. You don't want to feel like you're coming from where you are, say you're eating a lot of carbs, you're like, Okay, I'm eating 25 grams of carbs.
12:19
I don't operate like that because your brain when you go from, you know really aggressive and really extreme. It's really hard on you mentally. So how I work with clients is we gradually go into ketosis over five weeks, because my philosophy for change to happen we need to create, you know, small micro goals and steps that don't feel hard.
12:41
So you will learn how to develop habits and behaviors that work for you. By following scientific principles, that I teach in a way where I simplify the science.
12:53
I always say education brings motivation, you know, when you understand not just how to, but the why the inner when you understand how systems work and function, you take so much more ownership over your health.
13:11
And then the last pillar is rewire. So getting crystal clear on what has been holding you back from having the results you desire. Understanding your why and your purpose. There's workbooks and questions that I get my clients to ask themselves each week.
13:29
Because the quality of our lives is determined by the quality of the questions we ask if you want better answers, ask better questions.
13:41
So learning how to dismantle limiting beliefs and self sabotaging behavior. So that, you know you can you know, step into this version of yourself who is expanding and growing and evolving and true transformation starts from the inside, right?
14:02
Whether it's rebalancing your systems, having more awareness around how systems function, but your mindset, your beliefs, you know, the stories you tell yourself, it's, you know, our beliefs in which create our reality, our internal wiring, which designs our life, it's not the other way around.
14:22
It's not your reality that creates your beliefs. It's your internal wiring, and your beliefs in which create your reality. So getting down to your core beliefs and understanding what events in your life lead you to your current health status, how you view yourself, how you speak to yourself, how you view food and nutrition.
14:42
These are major components and factors that have led you to where you are today. So I'm the type of coach that goes below the surface gets to the roots. If you just you know keep following a meal plan and doing a different workout like That's great.
14:59
That's just conscious mind actions. And that's not going to change you on a core level until you, you know, metaphorically lift up the hood in the car and you know, dig deep. So if you keep on doing surface level actions, you're going to get surface level surface level results. And those results don't freakin last.
15:23
So to finish off, the three principles of the fat fueled female method are number one, your success is inevitable. Number two, where you are right now is exactly where you are supposed to be. Everything happens in divine timing. And number three, there is always enough time in the day to make you a priority. If Beyonce can do it, you can do it too.
15:49
So that's just a brief description of the Fat Fuelled Female method. If any of that spoke to you, you can join the waitlist and you'll be notified when the doors open for enrollment. I will add the link in the show notes.
16:01
And one last thing, my purpose my dharma is coaching, educating and helping women really designing create their unique and realistic version of keto, and set you free from you know the dieting culture.
16:17
And that is why I developed this program. And hopefully, I will see you inside the course.
